A live-action, new wave, off-cable TV simulator.
Channel-surf the stars and discover the staticky, radical world of Planet Blip, brought to life through a cast of lovable characters that pay homage to the offbeat, idiosyncratic, and often-forgotten margins of TV history.
Blippo+ was co-created by game/creative director Jona Bechtolt and writer Claire L. Evans of YACHT. The game's 5+ hours of video content was directed by Jennifer Juniper Stratford of Telefantasy Studios.
Mark LaCroix of Noble Robot developed the game and did game design work to adapt the unique experience for PC and console. He also contributed additional visual effects to some of the video content, designed elements of the game's system UI/interface, and created all of the interactive "static" effects that visually ground the game in the bygone world of analog broadcast television.
It’s all these little details, incorporated with the bigger idea of the world of Blip, that make Blippo+ such an interactive, engaging, realistic experience.
The level of detail put into the aesthetic vision of the project, from the game's UI to the costuming and makeup, is immense..."
...unlike anything else you've ever played
If all Blippo+ had to offer was its charmingly absurd alien programming, it would still be worth tuning in, but it’s the story between the channels that cements it as one of the year’s best.
