About
Noble Robot is the indie games and media outfit run by multidisciplinary artist Mark LaCroix.
Good Games.
Games by Noble Robot celebrate a spirit of adventure, optimism, and humanism, with an emphasis on holistic design and gameplay mechanics that invite (and examine the implications of) multiple approaches to play.
Useful Resources.
Noble Robot produces free and paid game development resources, including a weekly game development podcast and an open-source game engine for the Playdate handheld console.
Ethical Subroutines.
In addition to developing its own games, Noble Robot offers its services as a porting house for console development, and is available to provide technical publishing assistance for small teams or solo developers who are otherwise planning to self-publish on PC or console platforms.
About Mark LaCroix
Apart from operating Noble Robot, Mark LaCroix is the creator and co-host of the weekly game development podcast Nice Games Club, and a board member for the Twin Cities chapter of the International Game Developers Association.
Mark’s creative work in various fields has appeared all over the world, from Netflix and Amazon Prime Video to Nintendo eShop, from international film festivals to municipal utility boxes. In a previous life, Mark's commercial film work included editing and animation on Emmy-winning productions, and his JavaScript display ad template is probably still cached on your computer right now (sorry).
Mark lives in Minneapolis with his wife and three computers.
